The Center's Statistics and Methods Section provides members and the injury community at large with support for conducting and analyzing injury research.
The section is led by two senior researchers, Dr. Carol Flannagan, (UMTRI director of data resources and Section leader) and Dr. Michael Elliott (biostatistician with a substantive expertise in injury and missing data). In addition, we are supported by Dr. Jason Goldstick, a statistician well versed in spatial and temporal modeling of complex processes. GIS/data technicians will also be involved.
The Statistics and Methods Section is available to consult with project faculty and Center members on their injury-related work, including:
- injury grant proposals
- pilot studies
- policy briefs
- consultation on injury data analysis
This group also maintains our Injury Data Index, where you can find datasets that support injury research.
